Kings XI Punjab have the chance to make Pepsi IPL 2014 their best ever season in the competition when they take on the Delhi Daredevils in the penultimate match of the league stage.

Delhi Daredevils, meanwhile, lost their eighth successive match when they lost against the Mumbai Indians in their previous outing. After bowling out MI for 173, DD found no momentum in their run-chase and finished 16 runs short. What was intriguing about DD’s run-chase was they had specialist batsmen at the crease for the entire duration of the run-chase – during which they lost only four wickets – and yet could not force the issue.

Kings XI Punjab have won the toss and elected to bowl first. Maxwell is in so does Mitchell Johnson for Punjab. Captains says, "Its been difficult to defend the total here". Strangely, Kevin Peterson has said that he would like to bat first on this track. Seems like both teams got what they want.

Punjab has played like Kings in this season and today they are playing with full strength with Awana and Johnson are making their comeback in the bowling department. Their is nothing to loose for both the teams, in fact Delhi are in bit pressure as they have lost eight games on the trot and would like to win to finish off the seasons with somehow happy note.
