IPL2014: 6th match – Kolkata Knight Riders v Delhi Daredevils, April 19, 2014

Kolkata Knight Riders, who opened their Pepsi IPL 2014 campaign with an impressive 41-run victory over the defending champions Mumbai Indians on the opening night, will lock horns with the Delhi Daredevils in Match 6 of the season.

While KKR will come into this match buzzing with lots of positive energy, their opponents will need to recover quickly from the drubbing their received at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore. DD, whose top order was demolished in that game, recovered to post a modest 145 runs on the board, which was knocked off in quick time by Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh.

KKR might be forced to rejig the combination that did the job in the previous match, because Yusuf Pathan has traveled back to India to be with his wife and newborn. Hence, there is a chance KKR will make room for either Ryan ten Doeschate or Andre Russell to add more ammunition to the batting.

IPL2014: 5th match – Royal Challengers Bangalore v Mumbai Indians, April 19, 2014

Defending champions, Mumbai Indians, will have an opportunity to open their account when they take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 5 of Pepsi IPL 2014.

Rohit Sharma’s team appeared a rusty unit in their season opener against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Royal Challengers Bangalore were barely challenged in their season opener. Their bowlers were clinical and incisive, shredding through the Delhi Daredevils’ top order in quick time.

Though it was the bowling attack that set up the match for RCB in their last outing, the biggest positive for the team was the return to form of Yuvraj Singh – the most expensive player in the 2014 Pepsi IPL Player Auction. Put together, Yuvraj, Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Kohli and Albie Morkel make up, perhaps, the most formidable top order in the league.

Mumbai Indians received a lot of criticism for their batting order in the previous match. With an innings restricted to just 120 deliveries, it is a must that the best batsmen in the line-up get to face as many deliveries as possible.

IPL2014: 4th match – Sunrisers Hyderabad v Rajasthan Royals, April 18, 2014

SRH and RR do not boast too many glamorous players, yet can surprise with their above-the-weight punches. Both teams finished among the top four teams last season and will be hoping to go the distance this time round.

Shikhar Dhawan was the team’s top run-getter in the previous season and he will be expected to do the same yet again. It will be interesting to see how the left-hand batsman copes with the added responsibility of captaincy.

Among the others, keep an eye on how the spin twins, Amit Mishra and Karn Sharma, operate; the two leg-spinners were hugely impressive on the slow and low tracks in Hyderabad last season and were top-line performers in SRH’s run to the Playoffs.

In the RR line-up, look no further than their skipper Shane Watson. The Australian is the most experienced player in the RR squad and he will be keen to stamp his authority on the team quickly.

IPL2014: 3rd match – Chennai Super Kings v Kings XI Punjab, April 18, 2014

CSK one of the strongest team of the tournament in all the editions been conducted till now is not looking that great in this edition whereas Punjab is looking bit solid this time.

Cricket is a funny game, Teams have changed a bit and Venue is relatively new for the players which force Punters to get confuse and as a result both teams are been supported by 50% Punters so far.CSK has lost M.Hussy the anchor man whereas Punjab able to bagged some very good players on their side in the form of Sehwag, Parera and Johnson.

This pitch does support pacers as we have seen in the opening game between KKR and MI.

IPL 2014: 2nd match – Delhi Daredevils v Royal Challengers Bangalore, April 17, 2014

Important tournament for Kohli & Yuvraj as well as for Delhi’s captain K.Peterson but he has to wait as he is ruled out for the game because of finger injury. Dinesh Kartik will lead the Delhi Daredevils today. Both teams have won 5 matches each in their previous encounters whereas one game been tied.

RCB is looking rock solid because of their quality batting line-up and more importantly guys are in form. Yuvraj can be the game changer for them though his last outing wasn’t been enjoyed by audience.

Though stats says Delhi is not doing good from last few seasons their record against the team is pitty even.
