Struggling teams look to leave the bottom third| PunterPolls Prediction

Teams usually go into the IPL targeting one win more than half the matches they play, and then take it from there. Nine has been the magic number all captains have been talking about. Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils have played nine games each, and are six and seven wins away from that magic number.

The phrase captains quote most is about doing things right and letting results take care of themselves. Knight Riders and Daredevils haven't quite been able to do that so far. Knight Riders have relied on spin, but their local batsmen have let them down. Daredevils have the big names in both the batting and bowling department, but they haven't fired as much as they would have liked.

They don't have much time left, and need to start winning consistently to keep the league interesting. The halfway point is way too early for teams to be ruled out of the playoff stakes.

Second encounter of the day, Almost a month have passed when these two teams have had played opening match of the tournament. Daredevils who were the bookies favorite in the match have lost the game rather easily, punters were marginally supporting KKR (51%) in that match.

After a month, nothing much have changed. Daredevils are still struggling and KKR have lost their way after fine start. Sehwag who has missed the opener is back but is struggling with the form. He has shown some spark in the match against the Mumbai Indians at Kotla but that was too bad bowling by Mumbai Indians.

Kolkata Knight Riders is actually a very good team and if you look at the last few matches, they are shaping up very well. Only players that don't deserve a place in the squad is Yusuf Pathan, he has to go out for this match. Also, we are expecting Lee to be included in this match instead of McCullum or Senanayake.

 As far as Delhi Daredvils is concern, batting is their strength. They only have chance to win the game if they manage to stop KKR less than 170. Otherwise our first choice is Kolkata Knight Riders all the way.
