Today Uva Next will take on Ruhuna Royals who must have been very frustrated and disappointed after losing yesterday game against Warriors. They were in the game right from the beginning but then bowler lost their way and allowed Warriors to reach the magical figure of 140+. It’s been noticed that there are not too many occasion when team chasing 140+ have won. Till now they have played three games and won one and that too against minnows Uthura.

Uva next till now have won two games out of three. The game they have lost was against the strongest team so far Wayamba, who is also un-beaten in the tournament by winning four out of four. Uva have started very well in the game against Wayamba and took first four wickets quite early (4/44) and were at the commanding position. Later on their batsmen didn’t perform to the occasion.

After the disastrous Royal’s show yesterday no one is expecting them to win this game. But our cricket experts are supporting them today as well to keep in mind that they were chasing the huge target against the strongest team of the tournament.

It’s been difficult to pick between the two. Wayamba is looking good in all departments and Nagas players are playing good as a team. Whereas Wayamba have experienced player like captain Jayawardene, Abdul Razzaq and Azhar Mehmood, as well as young guns like Kamran Akmal Tamim Iqbal etc.

As said above it’s been difficult to choose between the two. Our experts recommend Wayamba because of the most balanced squad having young and experience players in the team.

Other thing that’s common between the two is, both team have won their matches against the weakest team of the tournament Uthura Rudras. On comparison, Royals are looking much more balanced between the two. Thing to notice is Jayasuriya only have joined the team in the last game and they have won.

Also, it would be interesting and highlights of the today’s game are contest between slinger Malinga and dashing Jayasuriya. Our cricket expert bet on Royals for the reason they have more than one match winner in their team.

Wayamba who have already won both of their matches is second in the torunament point table after Nagas who have won three out of three will take on Dilshan's BCD today. This is going to be super sunday for cricket lovers as its Mahela Jayawardene v Dilshan, the two star batsmen of Sri Lankan team. 

On one hand we have unbeaten Wayamba's and on other there is BCD, who had started the tournament with promising note and then have lost two back to games against Uva Next and Nagas respectively has been dis-appointed with their performances so far. Positive for BCD is, captain himself is doing well and his all-round performance needed to win this game.

Wayamba do have very strong bench player as well and it would be interesting to watch if Azhar Mehmood and Razzaq will get a chance in the game today. Till now Akmal brother and Tamim Iqbal along with all-rounder M. Hafeez has performed very well in one match or another. 

Overall, Wayamba is most balanced side between the two and Basnahira have firing bowlers. Which make this Sunday recipe even spicy?

Second encounter of the day Basnahira v Nagas. Basnahira Cr who had won their first game against the Warriors quite easily, beaten by Uva Next the very next day and must be disappointed by their performances with the bat and the ball in the next game. Dilshan, the skipper of BCD had done a fabulous job in th opening match did continue his performance in the leading match as well must be aiming for todays match. 

Nagas an unbeaten team of the tournament have already crushed Ruhuna Royals and  then Warriors one sidedly don't want to break their rythm. If you look at the performances I must say Nagas been very lucky in both games. First game, though they were having wickets in their hand but they need almost half more runs in the last 8 overs remaining and both pakistanis opener wasn't playing. In their second game, Imaran played a superb kock but at the same time he had been missed couple of times by keeper and Shehzad been droped very early in the 4th over of the game. 

Because of Nagas ordinary bowling and not to sure batting performaces our cricket experts recomment BCD should win this game.

Match 7 of SLPL 2012 is going to begin in couple of hours time between Wayamba and Uva Next. Wayamba had flying start in their opening match against Uthura. Both their openers had performed very well, especially young Tamim Iqbal. For scorecard of the match.

Uva Next too have won their opening match against Dilshan's Basnahira. Though it was rain effected match one can see that they have won quite comfortably (as we look into the scorecard).

Its been early days of the tournament and both team have played one game each, so its been difficult to judge on the basis of performances. After seeing their first encounters Wayamba strength is more of their batting. On contrast Uva have very good bowlers in the form of Umar Gul, Oram, McDonald and Fernando, moreover their batsmen had done a desent job as well.

Final word, this should be Uva Next game
