PunterPolls Prediction – Match 53: Mumbai Indians v Kolkata Knight Riders at Mumbai, 7 May

Mumbai face growing KKR threat | PunterPolls Prediction

Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders still stand a theoretical chance of making it to the play-offs, and are better placed than some other teams to spoil a party or two. They have made Rajasthan Royals' job tougher after beating them comprehensively at Eden Gardens, and will be a threat to Mumbai Indians, who they face on Tuesday.

Knight Riders may need to win each of their remaining matches to entertain hopes of staying alive; Mumbai could jump to second place should they win, else will feel a little less secure, especially if Rajasthan Royals beat Delhi Daredevils in the afternoon. Mumbai, though, are on a high after inflicting a thrashing on Chennai Super Kings, who, by their own captain's admission, were complacent after seven wins in a row. And in a season where playing at home has played a decisive role, they'll be favourites when they take on Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium.

PunterPolls Prediction

KKR is under pressure as they have lost the first encounter against the Mumbai Indians at their home ground and now at this stage, they have to win each and every game to stay in the contest. While chasing a target KKR is not a bad team but while batting first they are very inconsistent.

Other hand we talk about Mumbai Indians, every one must be thinking that Mumbai Indians is a strong team especially after their last win against CSK on sunday. But if we analysis the team strength they haven't played according to strength. That was CSK mistake the way they had batted in that game as pitch wasn't that bad.

Looking at the ground records, everyone get confuse as we have seen big score matches and the last one we opposite to what we used to see on the ground. Mumbai Indians for sure is in comfortable condition as compare to KKR but they are under pressure too because of the way other teams ar performing. Its again a kind of must win for Mumbai Indians to stay in the comfort zone.

Our experts believe Kolkata Knight Riders should win this game because of reasons:

  1. If today the game will be on slow pitch, they have better bowling attack.
  2. If the game will be on batting pitch where we have seen huge scores, they do have strength to chase and defend the good total.

PunterPolls Prediction – Match 52: Rajasthan Royals v Delhi Daredevils at Jaipur, 7 May

Second straight slippery skin for Royals | PunterPolls Prediction

For the second game in a row, Rajasthan Royals run into a kamikaze side. Like Pune Warriors, Delhi Daredevils are going down too, but hold potential notoriety to take a team or two down with them. Given the nature of the format, it doesn't take much to cause an upset: all it needs is for one of Daredevils' big payers - now without the pressure of much to lose - to have a big day, and it could cost Royals a chance to progress further.

Even against Warriors, a side that has been struggling through the tournament, Royals - now tied on second spot with three other teams with five matches to go - took some time to recover from the Warriors onslaught that came from the freedom that comes with the knowledge you have nothing left to lose. If anything, Daredevils hold a bigger threat. To make the pressure worse for Royals, Daredevils have almost been free points for most of their rivals in the top half of the table.

With just six points from 11 games, Daredevils might not have been knocked out yet, but they are down for the count, and will do well to play assuming they are out. That freedom, along with quality, has been missing in their play this year.

PunterPolls Prediction

Yesterday we have seen a match of the tournament. David Miller crashed the RCB single handily and we all should thanks to Kohli for dropping a sitter which cause them the game. Still punters have had done a great job. RCB was on the door to win that match but as everyone says "Cricket is the game of uncertainties and even God get confuse sometimes".

Lets comeback to Royals game against the Daredevils. Daredevils have nothing to loose and Rajasthan would like to win to keep up their chances of play-offs as top teams will have two chances to qualify for the finals.

Daredevils already lost his first game against Royals at home ground and to win this contest they need to work harder. Royals are in splendid form and looks like they can chase anything. Both teams are struggling in their bowling department and if pitch will play same as last game, 180+ is also chase able.

We have decided to go with the chasing team again. Let see what will happen today.

PunterPolls Prediction – Match 51: Kings XI Punjab v Royal Challengers Bangalore at Mohali, 6 May

RCB look to break away from mid-table jam | PunterPolls Prediction

Royal Challengers Bangalore finally scored away points, their first in five games on the road in IPL 2013, against Pune Warriors on Thursday. While the winning margin of 17 runs seemed comfortable enough in the end, Royal Challengers must have been worried as Robin Uthappa had a feisty go at the target of 188. To remove all remaining doubts, for themselves, the fans and the experts, they would have to score again in Mohali.

Apart from the psychological benefits of consecutive away victories, it's imperative that they win to allow themselves a bit of a cushion on the points table. Royal Challengers currently sit at No. 2 with 14 points from 11 games. But Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals all have the same numbers too. With five games to go in the group stages, Royal Challengers will want to break away from the pack without much delay.

Kings XI Punjab sit just outside of that mid-table cluster, with eight points from 10 games. With nine wins being the number widely agreed upon as the number required to stand a serious chance of making the playoffs, they must win five of their remaining six matches. While Royal Challengers - with the likes of Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli all having delivered at different times in this tournament - might seem like a daunting challenge for the relatively low-profile Kings XI, they can take heart from their previous two showings. After almost pulling off a giant-killing in Mumbai, they were spirited in their chase of 187 at Chepauk. Now, back at home in Mohali, they will be hoping to finally close out a game. Time is running out for them, and they can't afford any more almost-theres.PunterPolls Prediction

Once again like to remind all that our predictions are based upon previous stats and we personally feel about the game before the match actually begins. We are not tipsters or predictors who commits anywhere like other people does social networking sites such as Facebook.

Kings XI Punjab v Royal Challenger Banglore, Kings XI have lost couple of close games while chasing the big target and everyone does have a hope that they will be able to pull this time. But everyone is ignoring most important factor that Mohali ground and pitch is more or less similar to the Banglore. Ground is small and pitch is super good for batsmen.

We are expecting big inning from Gayle or Kohli today. But again we have seen the Chennai v Mumbai match yesterday where pitch has dramatically behaved as compare to previous matches. Reason behind, we generally ignores while watching the match that every ground has at least 6 pitches and we don't know on which pitch the match is being played. So, today might be different track.

Our experts believe that chasing on this track shouldn't be that difficult for any teams as both teams does have some good finisher players. But if we need to ask to pick one team we would like to go with Royal Challenger Banglore.

PunterPolls Prediction – Match 50: Rajasthan Royals v Pune Warriors at Jaipur, 5 May

Hopeful Royals meet dangerous drifters | PunterPolls Prediction

Beware the team with nothing to lose, even if their own player is ripping into the team management for having made changes to the winning combination. Pune Warriors are out of the race for playoffs. They have been easier to beat than others, but you can bet teams will be approaching a match with them with slight trepidation too. For a team like Rajasthan Royals, who are in with a chance to make it to the playoffs, and who have provided Warriors' one of their rare wins this season, this becomes a crucial game. They need to win three out of their remaining six to reach nine wins, which all but assure their progression.

This is one of Royals' last three home games, and they haven't lost one in Jaipur this year yet. They will be wary of individual brilliance, which the visiting side is well capable of, despite the results' stating otherwise. Yuvraj Singh will be miffed at having been left out of the India team for the Champions Trophy, and might have a point to prove. Nobody wants to be at the receiving end of his ire.

PunterPolls Prediction

On the basis of stats, not much to pick between the two, Rajasthan playing superbly at their home ground Pune been tortured by almost every team of the tournament. But the way Pune have played against the RCB other night, they are surely planning to upset a team or two and our experts believe today is the day for Pune.

PunterPolls Prediction – Match 49: Mumbai Indians v Chennai Super Kings at Mumbai, 5 May

Mumbai caught in mid-table scrap | PunterPolls Prediction

A team that hasn't lost a single home game this season takes on another that's yet to lose an away fixture. Either way, on Sunday, one team's sequence will be broken. Mumbai Indians are back at Wankhede Stadium where they have won all their four games, described as a "fortress" by their captain, Rohit Sharma. After three consecutive victories - during which their batsmen posted scores of above 160 - their batting suffered a rare meltdown against Sunrisers Hyderabad, managing an underwhelming 129 in a heavy defeat. Mumbai have been displaced from the top four following Sunrisers' win against Delhi Daredevils on Saturday and will look to regain lost ground. Close on their heels is fourth-placed Rajasthan Royals, who also have 12 points, and play later on the evening.

Super Kings are all but through to the playoffs, with nine wins from 11 games. Against Kings XI Punjab, they showed they could recover quickly from a rare MS Dhoni failure, courtesy Suresh Raina's first IPL century that took them to an imposing 186. Though they won by a comfortable 15 runs, the contest was a lot closer than that margin suggested. An area they need to address going forward is the bowling. In their last five games, their bowlers have conceded scores of 185, 186 and 171. Their batting, though, has been consistent and potent. They could be a change at the top of the order, with M Vijay likely to return for Wriddhiman Saha, who was carrying an injury on the eve of the game.

PunterPolls Prediction

Chennai Super Kings on a winning streak will take on Mumbai Indians today. Its been long time since CSK lost any game and its really been very difficult to figure out the weaknesses of this team. This team doesn't have any issues playing home or away. They play simple cricket, when they required 16-20 runs in last overs they done it but when other team against them required such as score against them they restrict them.

As far as Mumbai Indians are concern, batting is their strength. In bowling department they have to work a bit but its not that bad. MI have very good record at their home ground. They haven't lost a single game here and would like to continue it. MI also have won their first game against CSK at Chennai.

Its been very difficult to predict the winner at this stage, both teams are equally good. We will be more confident after an inning, but to keep stats in mind, our experts decided that Mumbai Indians should win this game.

PunterPolls Prediction – Match 48: Sunrisers Hyderabad v Delhi Daredevils at Hyderabad, 4 May

Can Daredevils take Sunrisers' breath away? | PunterPolls Prediction

Sunrisers Hyderabad are among the four teams who are closer to achieving the magic number of nine wins - Chennai Super Kings having already touched the marker - to qualify for the playoffs, assuming there are no major upheavals. They need at least three more wins out of their remaining six matches, four of which are to be played in Hyderabad, their fortress. They take on a resurgent Delhi Daredevils side, the captain of which had his smile restored after consecutive wins in Raipur.

Daredevils' campaign is under life-support - they need six wins in six matches - but every extra breath they draw will be at the expense of others, a fact Sunrisers need to be wary of. Daredevils have a strong pool of impact players; the same group took them to No. 1 in the points table last year. David Warner has been the best of them all this year - with four half-centuries - and has been pushed down from his usual top-three batting spot to lend some stability to a fragile middle order. Their bowling is pace-heavy, but slightly more dependable than their batting. Now if only Virender Sehwag and Mahela Jayawardene - the only other two batsmen to have scored half-centuries for Daredevils this season - can raise their games against arguably the most well-rounded bowling attack, Daredevils can continue to smile.

The pitch in Hyderabad is on the slower side and offered generous turn to the spinners in the last match. It also helps the faster bowlers because the batsmen find it difficult to hit through the line. The pace-bowling spearheads of both teams have a similar make-up - Dale Steyn and Ishant Sharma against Morne Morkel and Umesh Yadav - but there is a wide gulf otherwise. Amit Mishra, Karan Sharma and Thisara Perera have tasted success this season. If Shahbaz Nadeem, Irfan Pathan and Ashish Nehra are able to adjust to the conditions, another tight contest can be expected.

PunterPolls Prediction

Daredevils are shapping up well, Sunrisers are shyning and for us its been very difficult to predict the game. Both teams have won 3 matches out of last 5 they have played in this season. One thing to notice is that, Daredevils have won all three matches at their so-called homegrounds. Whereas, Risers have earlier beaten them at their home ground Kotla.

According to the stats and performance, Risers are playing better as a team unit, whereas Daredevils just recovering from dents. Delhi is definetly under pressure in this game as they have to win all their remaining matches whereas Hydrabad need to win 3 matches out of 6 they need to play to be their in play-offs run.

Daredevils strength is their batting, their bowling department is way to ordinary and this you must have been noticed in last match against KKR. Kolkata lost 5 wickets in 10 overs at the score of 50 and still they managed to score 137 against them. To keep this thing in mind, our experts believe that team winning the toss should opted to bowl first.

As far as predicting the winner for the game is concern. We are not very much sure about it, as their is lot depends upon the toss. Will keep you updated regarding the same so please stay in touch with us by visiting this page or our  Facebook Page.
