PunterPolls Today’s IPL Match Prediction Mumbai Indians v Hyderabad

Mumbai Indians extreme bottom of the point table with 1 win in 6 matches must be eyeing for a win at their home against Sunrisers.

Sunrisers too have won only 2 matches out of 5 matches they have played so far in this season of IPL 2015.

If we look at the Mumbai Indians, all we can say too many experts may spoiling the performances.

MI full of cricketing icons and stars on the ground is playing like an ordinary team by putting themselves under pressure especially their batsmen.

Mumbai Indians bowlers also have to perform well to uplift the morale of their batsmen.

Sunrisers also not doing great, they have very good batting line-up but somehow lost their focus on. Especially middle order.

IPL2014: 21st match – Chennai Super Kings v Kolkata Knight Riders, 2 May, 2014

Match Preview

Losing a match on the boundary count after the scores are tied even in the Super Over can be immensely disappointing. Especially when you needed 16 going into the last two overs of your chase with six wickets in hand. Five days before going down in this manner to Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders were riding the opposite extreme against Royal Challengers Bangalore, who needed 29 off 26 with eight wickets remaining but were stopped short by two runs. As their coach Trevor Bayliss put it, Knight Riders have seen the "highs and lows" of the T20 format in these two games.

The UAE was almost exclusively low for Gautam Gambhir, but he broke his horror run of 0, 0, 0 & 1 by making 45 against Royals. While he did consume 44 deliveries, his knock has to be a big positive for Knight Riders just as the IPL shifts back to India. Gambhir and his side have had just two days to recover from that Super Over, and also shift base from the UAE to Ranchi.

Knight Riders will not have fond memories of Ranchi. The last time they played here, Yusuf Pathan was given out for obstructing the field against Pune Warriors in a close defeat that effectively ended the 2012 defending champions' chances in their 2013 campaign.

Their opponents, Chennai Super Kings, are in familiar territory close to the top of the table with four wins from five games. Only Glenn Maxwell has been able to down them so far. This is the first time they will be playing an IPL match in their captain's hometown. Ranchi has already voted in the ongoing federal election; it has to be seen what the turnout is with the local favourite on show.

IPL2014: 20th match – Mumbai Indians v Sunrisers Hyderabad, April 30, 2014

Match Preview

Mumbai Indians have had running problems with the opening partnership in several seasons, and this season has been no different. By their fourth game, they realised that the man who has reinvented himself successfully as a limited-overs opener for India is also an option at the top of their order. Before that, Rohit Sharma was coming in with too much to do after the pair of Michael Hussey and Aditya Tare had failed to provide the kind of starts their side needed.

With fewer games per side this season, Mumbai Indians cannot really afford to keep piling up the losses. Sunrisers Hyderabad are in only a slightly better position with one victory. Their batting looked top-heavy coming into the season, and the fears have come true so far, with a thin middle order unable to step up when the powerful batsmen do not fire upfront. At least the strengths and weaknesses are clearer in Sunrisers' case. Mumbai Indians, as has been the case in the past too, seem to be misfiring without any standout reason.

PunterPolls Prediction – Match 62: Mumbai Indians v Sunrisers Hyderabad at Mumbai, 13 May

Sunrisers face Mumbai's daunting Wankhede test | PunterPolls Prediction

In-Match Polling

Separate polling which will start with the toss and remain till the match end. This will give us true picture about how you are reading the game while in progress. Hoping that this will help us to predict the game in much better way. So don't forget to participate in the IN-MATCH polling.

Please note, if we will not get very good response in this polling we will no longer continue after few matches.

We have arrived at that stage of the tournament where the scramble to make the playoffs is in full swing. While the numerical possibilities say otherwise, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are in all likelihood through while the bottom four are out. That leaves a middle cluster of three teams vying for the remaining two playoff spots. Both Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad are in this cluster, meaning their encounter on Monday at the Wankhede will be vital.
After 13 games each, Mumbai Indians have 18 points and Sunrisers have 16. Sunrisers face the tougher of the tasks on hand, and not just because they have fewer points; Mumbai have won six out of six games at the Wankhede so far this season. While Sunrisers too have a very good home record - they've scored points in five of six at Uppal - they have won only three away matches, all against teams below them on the points table.

They can draw some confidence, though, from their showing on Saturday in Mohali against Kings XI. There they first recovered from 52 for 5 to 150 with smart batting, before their bowlers once again did the job. Also, as has been their style at Uppal, they had restricted Mumbai Indians to 129 earlier in the tournament, and then chased down the target with ease, courtesy Shikhar Dhawan. They'll need all the confidence they can get when facing Mumbai at home.

Sunrisers have shown some very good cricket so far and Mumbai Indians are unbeatable at their hometruf. All experts decided post their opinion after the toss. That too as in comments section of the posts.
