Result: Mumbai Won

Favourite Team: Mumbai 96p on BetFair.

PunterPolls: An ordinary performance by defending IPL champions Chennai Super Kings. Only Suresh Raina seems be threating for Mumbai Indians, apart from him not a single batsman had stood up to the occasion.

So close, yet so far. That's been the story of Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) till now. Finalists in the third season, third-placed finish in the fourth (after losing the second play-off to RCB), the franchise - that seems to be the most balanced sides in the tournament - hasn't been able to lay its hands on the coveted trophy as yet.

From practice facilities to coaching and support staff, hotels, pre-tournament hype, sponsorships deals - the works -- Mumbai Indians players have access to some of the best talent and amenities. Only a trophy in the cupboard is missing.

The franchise has quietly gone about adding meat to the line-up. So, Tendulkar will have young Ambati Rayudu coming in at No. 3, followed by Rohit Sharma, West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard (when he arrives), South Africa's Twenty20 sensation Richard Levi and wicket-keeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik.

QF: Banglore v Mumbai, 27th May

Status: Closed
Result: Banglore Won
Who were favorites as on 1st ball bowled?: Mumbai with 69p on BetFair.

PunterPolls: Again unexpected turnaround match, Banglore turned the match in very first over to his favor. Mumbai Indians who is being favorites when the first ball bowled turned to be another side at the end of the very first over of the match.

Banglore scored 27 runs in the very first over and Betfair was showing 70p Banglore favorites. Once again Galye power did the damage.

According to me Tendulkar did the biggest mistake by choosing field after winning the toss. Chennai pitch helps spinners and its been difficult to chase the score of 145. Anyhow, overall Mumbai didn't deserve to be in the final and it had happened at the end.

EL: Mumbai v KKR, 25th May

Status: Closed
Result: Mumbai Won
Who were favorites as on 1st ball bowled?: Mumbai with 59p on BetFair.

PunterPolls: Should have been a pretty straight forward one-sided match but now a days Mumbai being the one of the team who is converting easy matches to tuff wons.

Kolkata didn't get a good start but able to score 147 with the superb knock from tenDoeschate, who scored 70 not out on 49 balls.

Sachin and Blizzard gave a very good start to Mumbai and at the end of 8th over Betfair was showing only Laying ODDS for Mumbai. Immediate after strategic time-out Mumbai Indians had lost there way and started loosing wickets. Their were time when Mumbai Back ODDs went up to 31p on betfair.

Overall a very good match and as you can see, 61.54% Punters had supported supported Mumbai Indians. Best of luck to MI for coming matches and I wish that MI should play the final against Chennai on 28th and should win the title.

Kolkata v Mumbai, 22nd May

Status: Closed
Result: Mumbai won
Who were favorites as on 1st ball bowled?: Mumbai Indians with 60p on BetFair

PunterPolls: Last ball decider and we loved it to see that the team supported by 80% of the Punters here have won.

It was really super sunday, Kallis and Yusuf had played some very good shots to set of total of 175. Mumbai Indians didn't start very well, but still fighting when Tendulkar and Bhajji on crease. As soon as Tendulkar got out it was more or less confirmed that MI is going to loose the match. But it was last over, Franklin played supershots 4 consecutive fours to Balaji.

At the very last ball MI required 4 to win and as everybody thinks in their dreams that our team should win this kind of matches by hitting six on the last ball, Rydu is the man who truned that to reality.

Mumbai Indians teammates got mad with that fantastic shot and why not they this is called the magic of cricket and the thriller of IPL.

Perfect ending of IPL league matches, the way it started and common between both the occasion was KKR.

Mumbai v Rajasthan, 20th May

Status: Closed
Result: Rajasthan won
Who were favorites as on 1st ball bowled?: Mumbai with 52p on BetFair
PunterPolls: According to PunterPolls editor, Mumbai is the only team who used to take pressure before the match starts. Mumbai had never performed under pressure, This was one of the oppurtunity for MI to secure its place in final four but because of some every good bowling and tremendous inning of Shane Watson, RR have won quite comfortably.

MI now have now must win situation of its last match against KKR.
